Since its establishment, the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation has been able to receive generous donations from enthusiastic individuals and organisations to set up various development funds and realise a number of new initiatives that are innovative and have profound impact on the community. Dr. Kennedy Y.H. Wong Endowed Professorship in Chinese Medicine
In 2010, the University received a generous donation of HK$10 million from Dr. Kennedy Wong, BBS, JP, for the establishment of the “Dr. Kennedy Y.H. Wong Endowed Professorship in Chinese Medicine”. The Professorship supports the recruitment of a renowned scholar in Chinese Medicine in order to promote the academic leadership of the School of Chinese Medicine in serving the community and benefiting humankind.

In 2011, the University received a generous donation of a residential unit valued at over HK$20 million from Mr. and Mrs. Lau Chor Tak for receiving world-class scholars and distinguished visiting laureates. In recognition of the donors' support, the apartment was named the "Mr. and Mrs. Lau Chor Tak Lodge for Distinguished Scholars".
Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute
In 2011, the University received a generous donation of HK$30 million from Dr. Simon Suen, BBS, JP, and Mrs. Mary Suen to establish the "Development Fund for the Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute" in support of the Institute's operation, research and exchange activities. The Institute is committed to setting up a platform for academic collaboration in the areas of Chinese classical learning and Sinology by inviting world-renowned scholars to deliver public lectures and attend international academic conferences. Scholarly books and journals will also be published to promote the research development of Sinology.

In 2011, the University received a generous donation of HK$100 million from Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Limited to establish the “Institute of Creativity – Dr. Hung Hin Shiu Development Fund” in support of the development, research projects and academic exchange activities of the Institute. Led by Nobel Prize winners and renowned scholars in different academic disciplines, students and faculty members of the University can interact and exchange ideas with world-class scholars, thereby promoting the research culture on campus.
