Since its establishment, the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation has been able to receive generous donations from enthusiastic individuals and organisations to set up various development funds and realise a number of new initiatives that are innovative and have profound impact on the community. University Strategic Development – supported by Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Limited
In 2019, the University received a generous donation of HK$100 million from Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Limited in support of the University’s strategic development.
Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture and the Sustainability Gallery
In 2018, HKBU launched the Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture and the Sustainability Gallery with a donation of more than HK$37 million from The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited through the HSBC 150th Anniversary Charity Programme.

In 2018, the University received a generous donation pledge of HK$15 million from Mr. Kam Yuen, Founder of Golden Meditech Holdings Limited, for the establishment of the Golden Meditech Centre for NeuroRegeneration Sciences at HKBU. The Centre supports research relevant to autologous neural stem cell therapy and other cell therapy that can potentially treat neurodegenerative and other incurable diseases.
University’s Institutional Advancement – supported by Dr. Liu Chak Wan and Madam Lei Ioc Heng
In 2018, the University received a generous donation of HK$10 million from Dr. Liu Chak Wan and Madam Lei Ioc Heng in support of the University’s institutional advancement.
