16 Apr 2013

The University recently received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Ms. Delia Chan, Member of the Alumni Committee and Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, in support of the Daniel & Kitty Tse Visiting Professorship Scheme, as her tribute to President Emeritus Dr. Daniel Tse for his vision of the Chinese Medicine development and education.

In recognition of the donor's generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Ms. Delia Chan, Mr. William Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation, and Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, was held on 16 April 2013.

Ms. Delia Chan is an alumna of the School of Chinese Medicine and was awarded an Honorary University Fellowship by HKBU in 2012 in recognition of her valuable contributions to society and unfailing support to the University.  With her recent donation, she was invited to join the Hong Kong Baptist University Century Club as its eighth Patron.  Established in 1976, the Century Club is a distinctive HKBU alumni organisation with the mission of rendering continuous contributions to support the University's ongoing development and its pursuit in excellence and whole person education.
